ASA and D-CVT Feature Surgery Daihatsu Rocky

 

Jakarta — Daihatsu Rocky  received a positive response from the Indonesian people, one of which was from Sahabat Klub, which is a community of Daihatsu car users throughout Indonesia. In order to provide information about the latest technology to club members, Daihatsu again held an Auto Clinic with the theme “ASA Technology and D-CVT Daihatsu Rocky” virtually on August 28, 2021, which was attended by management and members who are members of 20 Daihatsu car communities throughout Indonesia. .

According to the theme, Daihatsu dissects the new technology found in Rocky. ASA (Advanced Safety Assist) technology is an active safety feature and the highest in its class, which serves to provide assistance for the driver to minimize the risk of accidents, such as a warning feature when a potential collision is detected, a braking system to reduce the impact of a collision, a feature that prevents a front collision due to a wrong step. the gas pedal, provides a warning when the car in front is moving forward, a warning feature when the car accidentally steps on a marking line, as well as a feature that can return the car to the previous lane. In principle, the A.S.A feature starts with a stereo camera that detects an object in front of the car, then a camera signal is sent to the ECU, then activates the brake and steering system.

As for the transmission technology, Mobil Daihatsu Rocky 2021 is equipped with Dual Mode CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), which is a development of the existing CVT technology, through a split gear mechanism with 1 set of planetary gears. So that the distribution of power from the engine combines the belt with planetary gear which causes at low speeds to feel smoother and more powerful, while at high speeds it can be more economical. “We want to introduce the latest Daihatsu Rocky technology to club members as loyal customers and also part of the Daihatsu big family whose members are spread throughout Indonesia,” said Ben Faqih, People Development Department Head of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM)

 

Daihatsu Rocky 1.2 L

On paper, the 1.2-liter  Spesifikasi Daihatsu Rocky 2021  is equipped with a 3-cylinder DOHC Dual VVT-i engine which is the first in the world. ADM claims that this machine was developed specifically for the Indonesian market. In more detail, the engine coded WA-VE 3 cylinder 1.2 liter 12 valve, DOHC Dual VVT-I is capable of delivering power of 87 hp/6,000 rpm and torque of 113 Nm/4,500 rpm.

Daihatsu Rocky 1.0 Turbo

This turbo engine with the code 1KR-VET produces 97.9 PS of power or the equivalent of 96.5 TK at 6,000 rpm and 15.2 Kgm of torque, equivalent to 149 Nm at 2,400 to 4,000 rpm. When compared, the 1.0L turbo (Mesin Daihatsu Rocky)   has a greater power of 11.4 TK. As for torque, the turbo engine has an advantage of 36 Nm over the 1.2L WA-VE engine in the non-turbo Rocky.
